Dead- My Identity Past
Ephesians 2:1-3
1.) Apart from Jesus Christ, I was spiritually dead v.1
2.) As a spiritually dead person, I lived under the influence of the world v.2
3.) As a spiritually dead person, I was spurred on to disobedience by Satan v.2
4.) As a spiritually dead person, I lived to satisfy my sinful desires v.3
Conclusion Now I know this is a pretty depressing message. But please don’t leave here depressed because this is not the whole picture! Our past identity segways into the glorious truth of what Jesus has done by making us spiritually alive through salvation!
- We must always remember what God has saved us from – beware of pride!
- We must use our past as a motivator to see others delivered from spiritual deadness –
- You are part of God’s Spiritual Rescue Team!
- write down 1 name of someone who needs Christ, pray for them every day this week, & watch for opportunitys to share Christ w/ that person, for only Jesus can rescue us from spiritual deadness
